I've been having blog issues again so this is way late but Kate turned 5 on January 31! She LOVED talking about her upcoming birthday (and she likes that her and I are birthday buddies since mine is the day before hers).
Erin and Kate decorating rainbow cupcakes for Kate to bring to daycare on her birthday. I had to work but Laurie was so great- got her a little gift and sang to her and let her blow out a candle even! She sent me a video and kate was so cute with her little daycare friends. Both girls had a great time decorating these cupcakes and they turned out really cute!
Just had to include this to remember how terribly cold it was the week of our birthdays! Girls even had school cancelled a day because of the wind chills and that never ever happens!
More cupcakes at our house on the night of her birthday. She also took cupcakes to preschool on the day after her birthday. She likes white and yellow cake and vanilla frosting.
Erin picked out this unicorn pillow for Kate and she LOVES it! Sleeps with it every night even.
We went tubing for her birthday on the following Saturday and it was great. The weather had warmed up significantly and we actually got hot!

Grandpa VZ came tubing with us while Grandma VZ stayed home with Claire. Thanks mom :)
Kate's choice of a supper restaurant was Buffalo Wild Wings. She requested mozzarella sticks and mini corn dogs and lemonade :)
